Walk on to/ Walk up to

Is this correct : "I was standing at the bus stop and a foreigner came/walked up to me and asked me something. Seeing that I couldn't make out what he was seeing he walked on to some other person."

The use of "walked on" is OK. I think you mean "saying", not "seeing". A comma after "

Thanks for the reply. It was actually a typo,I meant 'saying'.
