Wake up suddenly

Hi.

I am looking for a phrasal which means to wake up suddenly.

Ex. I was fast asleep when I ......... by the door bang.

I am not sure if it was a phrasal verb .it might be a one-word verb.

Not sure if this is quite what you want, but I would personally say something like:
"I was fast asleep when I awoke suddenly as the door banged."
or
"I was fast asleep when I awoke suddenly to the sound of the door banging."
