Waiting for his parents back

Can I say,

He is alone at home because he is waiting for his parents back.

Top answer

I'd say -> He is alone at home because he is waiting for his parents to come back . I'm almost certain my sentence makes sense. I'd be better if a native speaker confirmed that the sentence is really correct, though.
