wait until after Christmas

Hi teachers,
Can I say the two sentences in bold type interchangeably ?:

(I say to my friend):
a/ You want to go back to your native village tomorrow? Why not wait until after Chrismas to go ?
b/You want to go back to your native village tomorrow? Why not wait until after Chrismas before going ?

Thanks in advance
