Vulnerable to something

Please tell me if I'm correct.

Why do we remain vulnerable to depression?

Does "to be vulnerable to depression" here mean "to be easy for us to suffer from/ to experience depression"?

Thank you for your answer!

ptrenglish Does "to be vulnerable to depression" here mean "to be easy for us to suffer from/ to experience depression"? In one sense of "easy", yes, but of course it doesn't mean that we can successfully suffer from depression if we just try a little. Rather, it means that it takes very little stimulus to initiate the feeling of depression.
