I see an hotel, but a hotel is much preferred (or the correct way?).

We had a discussion about that before and you can find some interesting replies there: A hotel, an hotel?

Hotel

We have to keep 'an' before the hotel, because hotel sounds like 'oh'tel. Here 'h' is silent.

Evrytime you have a voced H you have to use A.

e.g:

a hotel
a house
an hour
an heir
a haunted place
a hero
an honest man
