Volume vs issue/number

Hello.

What is volume in case of a Journal?

I thought it refers to the publication year, but it cannot be so, as my text reads:

Computers in Human Behavior, Vol. 101

What does it mean then?

What about issue/number?

Thanks in advance

The volume number tells you how many years the journal has been in print. If the journal comes out four times a year, there will be four issue numbers each year (1–4), and so on. Suppose the journal was first published in 2021 and it comes out once a month.
