Volume goes up by 5

How would you explain this for my tv?
The volume on my tv only goes up by increments of 5. With every push of the button the volume goes up by 5 points. 5,10,15,20...100.

grammarfreak No one cares if the indicator goes up by 5 or go down by 10. If the volume is too loud, press the volume down key until it is comfortable to your listening, or turn it up.

I'm not say I would ask someone to turn it up by saying what I've written. I would just like to know how one would explain what I see when I press the volume key which only goes up by 5 point increments. Every time I press the key the number goes from 5 to 10 to 15 to 20 etc instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10....
all I want is to know how a native speaker would explain that.
