Volume

The volume of private-sector demands accounts for three fourths of the GDP.

Is the volume of really necessary? I think it's better to drop it.

I think you can safely delete it. " In BrE we would say "three-quarters", but I think "fourths" is more accepted in AmE.

I think you can safely delete it. You can also change "demands" to "demand", lose "the" and add a hyphen:

"Private-sector demand accounts for three-fourths of GDP."

In BrE we would say "three-quarters", but I think "fourths" is more accepted in AmE.
