Vocap - VOcabulary in CAPtions - search YouTube for vocabulary
Hi,
when I learned English vocabulary I used to search for the real world usage, example sentences, correct pronunciation etc.. And it came to my mind I could search videos using subtitles and play particular parts of the videos with searched word or phrase.
So, I created a web app: http://vocap-giat.rhcloud.com/
You can look up a word of phrase (using quotes) in currently more that 1300 YouTube videos and play that parts of the videos.
The videos have to be included manually to the database, so if you have a tip to good video with good subtitles, send me an e-mail or reply here.
It isn't perfect, but if there is demand, I will work on it to make it better.
Enjoy it and feel free to tell what you think about it. Michal
