You need to check other sources. Many verbs can be used both transitively and intransitively .

They are essentially the same but have different connotations. Price increase would, in most case, mean an "official" accent in value. On the other hand, a raise could mean an "abrupt" price increase due to a number factors which could comprise demand or supply etc. But this is just me. They have similar meaning however. The former meanings can also be inverted to signify the opposite situations
