hi everyone..i would like to know one word which refers to "an initial dislike which turns into something that you like, over time"..please help me with this..

These are expressions, not single words, for if, for instance, you were talking about a food that most people didn't like at first but might eventually come to like, you could say "It's an acquired taste," or "it grows on you."

hi Martin..actually, i wanted a phrase or a word..sorry about not mentioning that..this was a phrase i'd come across sometime ago and had forgotten..the phrase is "acquired taste"..thanks for replying, though..

hi Khoff..thanks for replying..actually i'd come across the phrase "acquired taste" sometime ago and had forgotten the phrase, but not the meaning..i'd been racking my brain for the past several months to recollect that particular phrase(i'm not a native speaker of the language)..it's been a real relief to have been reminded of the phrase..thanks once again..
