Vocabulary doubt!

A: I did not violate the regulations. I want to make sure that everything is according to the defined regulations and that is my concern.

B: What makes you say that? Are you concerned that your work is not in accordance with the regulations.

A: Not at all! That was just a statement.

Is "that was just a statement" appropriate in the context?

By the way, is it "in accordance to" or "accordance with"?

Thanks!
