Vocabulary and phrases related to: bus card/bike card

Hi everyone,

OK, here's the thing. In some cities traditional tickets have been changed into bus cards. In some other cities such bus cards might be uses to rent public bikes. I've been wondering whether native speakers would consider the following expressions as natural and if they would use them themselves.
  • docking station - a place where we can leave our bike
  • scanning pad - in order to rent a bike one needs to place the card against the scanning pad
  • sweep the card/scan the card
  • run out of credit - eg. My card has run out of credit and I can't take the bike now.
  • add some credit
  • add some money - eg. I have to add some money/credit to my card.
  • put some credit
  • put some money - eg. I have to put some credit/money on my card if I want to rent a bike.

None of the above sentences or expressions have been taken from a dictionary.

Thanks

Thank you Clive. Just two additional questions.
  1. Are there any other common expressions that come to your mind? What about this one to top up a card?
  2. Can on be substituted with onto? For example I need to put some money onto my card.
