[vocabulary] adroit

Dear Users,

I'm reading a novel by P.K. Dick and I've just come across a word that I've never used before - adroit.

How often do you use it? Does it simply mean... skilfull, resourceful, or/and clever

Thanks

I'm a native English speaker in the US, and I've never used "adroit" in speech or writing in my life. It's a nice word, that you would encounter primarily in print - rarely in everyday conversation..
