Hello everyone,
I know that "warm" is the opposite of "cool", but is "hot" the opposite of "cool" as well?
I know Therausus regards "cool" and "cold" or "warm" and "hot" as simliar words.
My second question is:
Do you regard "old" as the opposite of "modern" or "traditional" as the opposite of "new"?
Regards????,
Joseph

I once read an article that discussed eight different ways that words can be opposites. (I don't remember any of them because this was a long time ago.)
One of the examples there was "What's the opposite of 'buy'?". Adults answered 'sell', but one child answered 'make it yourself at home'.
