1-What does "quite late" mean?

'I didn't marry until quite late. I met Ben when I was 30 and we didn't marry until I was 33 that was in 2006.'

2-How many meanings does "just the same" have? What does it mean in the below coversation?

A:Mike! I'm over here!

B:Sophie! you look great! You haven't changed a bit!

A:I don't know. It's been over ten years. I'm definitely older if not wiser.

B: Well you look just the same to me! come on!

3-What does "come as a shock" mean? It means have a shock?

I know it is usually used of death.
