Hello

I have some problem with a part of the below passage :

Why has been used "I enjoyed seeing him act"?why not "His"

When Dom texted,I knew I wanted to answer, but I made him wait .I'm not sure why ,silly really because I do really like him .I enjoyed seeing him act .I think he's a very good actor , but I didn't really understand the play .

I enjoyed seeing his acting. 'act' is a gerund, ie the noun-like form of the verb. If you want to say 'his', you have to follow it with a noun or something like a noun.
