Vocabulary

Hello everyone,

If you are given a responsibilty or a job and you are supposed to do it well, but you don't do it well or you do it but your performance is not good. Do we have a special verb for that situation in English? I know the word "ignore", but it is not the one I want.

Regards,

JA
