Is the word "rebate" used correctly in the following sentences?

1. The shopkeeper rebated me when I bought a pair of gloves for ten dollars from him.

2. The shopkeeper rebated me with three dollars.

3. Do you rebate him?

4. Rebate him, please.

Those are not correct. 00 when I bought a pair of gloves for ten dollars from him. Rebates normally come from manufacturers , not sellers.

Rebates normally come from manufacturers, not sellers. Sellers give discounts. They also mark down merchandise to sell it more quickly.
