Vocabulary

Hello everyone,

Are the verbs "run over" and "hit" correctly used in the following sentences?

1. Driving to that village means hitting many potholes in the road.

2. Driving to that village means running over many potholes in the road.

Note/ If the road to the village has a lot of potholes and when we drive to that village we have to hit these potholes, because we don't have another way to take.

Regards,

JA
