Hello everyone,

If someone hides himself/herself from a group, who (the latter) have a dog, the dog finds the person and informs the group by barking. For this situation, can we say the following?

1. He was first realized by the dog.

2. He was first felt by the dog.

If they are not OK, could you please give me a suitable verb to fit here?
