Can we use "more nice / most nice" instead of "nicer / nicest" if we change the adjective "nice" into comparative and superlative forms?

Joseph A more nice / most nice" instead of "nicer / nicest" Please don't use pairs of hyphens: they are often read as HTML code. Joseph A Can we use "more nice / most nice" instead of "nicer / nicest" There are occasions when it might be effective as literary style, but basically 'no': single-syllable adjectives/adverb take the suffixes, not 'more/most'.
