In IT, I would recognise 'code monkey', for someone who writes seemingly less important lines of computer code; 'pen pusher', for someone who does nothing productive but fills in the boxes on administrative forms; 'tea boy' for someone who thinks they've achieved an important position, but it's only because of their willingness to take hot drinks to the boss Dave
