Spoken English. Here "spoken" is an adjective. Likewise in "broken chair" broken is an adjective. As like the followings-

Fallen angle.
Hidden place...etc

But the "ing" form of the verb may represent a noun. As an example-

Swimming is good for health.
Reading book is a good habit.
Flying birds.

Swimming, reading, running all are noun here.
