You'll hear "What class/form/year are you in? in BrE. With 'year', we often omit 'in'.

Class and form are normally used for the specific class, year for the year group. Thus pupils/students in classes/forms labelled, for example, 10A, 10Sc or 10.2 will all be in Year 10.
