Hello! Could you please explain the difference between "to stamp" and "to stomp" for me? Perhaps it is just a geographical
use ...I would like to know. Thanks in advance.

These words seem similar at first glance but they are used differently: "stomp" implies violent, aggressive action, "stamp" implies vigorous but non-violent, non-aggressive action. For example:

He stamped the invoice as paid.

He stamped his feet to try and keep warm.

He stomped on the snake.

He stomped into the room ready for a confrontation.
