Is it alright to say 'it is a matter of proud privilege.'
I am doubtful about the word 'proud' here. I feel it is not necessary or some other word can be used in its place.

I just want to know whether the use of the word proud with privilege is alright.

I have come across an expression like- It is a matter of great privilege, or It is a privilege to honour you etc but the one I have mention

"Proud privilege" sounds good because of the alliteration, but it doesn't make much sense -- a privilege can't actually be proud of anything. Still, I found one prominent example of it on PunjabnNewsline.com:
