Vocab question: what do we call this state of mind?

Dear Users,

How would you describe this state of mind when we're so stressed-out and nervous that we can barely eat and everything inside feels as if we were shaking and down the throat we have this uncomfortable sensation of something heavy being stuck there.

Thanks

If it is not a temporary condition, then the person is suffering from an anxiety disorder. The medical name depends on the source of the anxiety. If it was an extreme negative experience, then it is post-traumatic stress disorder.
