I think it should be "invitation on a journey".

I have a book right in front of me, entitled "Europe: An Invitation to a Journey" and I'm a bit confused now...I don't think it's very obvious what the correct preposition (if any) should be. "to" does not sound right to me, but I'm wondering now whether "on" is really correct either.
