Vivan and Vivienne

In English, Adrienne and Adrian are probably pronounced the same (they are feminine and masculine forms).

I'm not aware of a masculine form of Vivienne, however I have seen Vivian as a feminine name.

Children do not name themselves; their parents do the naming. It would be possible for a female Adrian to appear – almost any name is possible, and most all of them are tried – but it is unlikely.

Pronunciation is also up to the family, and I have heard some rather unorthodox ones. I have also frequently heard the female style of a name pronounced with different stress, as in 'Ad

Mister Micawber almost any name is possible, and most all of them are tried

I mean there are a lot of very strange first names, and a lot of very strange pronunciations of the more normal first names, given to American children. Kobe Bryant, just to name a famous and relatively tame one.
