Visitors are swept away to a land of tropical jungles

Finally, through the power of imagination, Disney created the Disneyland that we know today. Here, visitors are swept away to a land of tropical jungles, American pioneer settlements, and storybook castles.

Hi,

Is it right to understand "visitors are swept away to ..." in the above as "visitors are charmed/fascinated by ...?" If not, what does it mean? Thanks.
