Hi,

I didn't realize how beautiful it is until I visited the place.

1.Does 'visit' mean 'to go sightseeing in the place' here?

2.Can we use 'find out' or 'discover' instead of 'realize' here without changing its meaning?

3.Can we use past tense instead as in 'I didn't realize how beautiful it was until I visited the place'?
