Visions

Hi, Here "Visions" has its usual meaning? In the beginning of the book they wrote that:

"Smith’s extraordinary claims to revelations immediately made Mormonism good press. Visionaries were
common in that period, but not ones who published volumes of newly translated ancient scripture."

I'm almost sure that Vision is different than revelations?

The religious movement known as Mormonism began with the visions of Joseph Smith in upstate New York around 1820.
