"Vision" and "Eyesight"

Hi,

Just wondering if there are any differences between "vision" and "eyesight" with regard to our eyes?

I checked the Cambridge Dictionary and they both means "the ability to see".

With respect to ophthalmology, they are interchangeable. I need to have my vision / eyesight checked. My vision / eyesight is not perfect.

With respect to ophthalmology, they are interchangeable.
