Visa request letter

I wrote a letter to US VISA officer of my country. I am kindly requesting any native speaker of English to look for my errors and please correct them for me. Thanks.

Dear Sir,

We look forward to travel to US on 25th July 2016 with our Son Mr. Yasas (Passport No.N XXX) accompanying him to Texas Tech University of which he is scheduled to commence his Physics PhD program with effect from Fall Semester 2016 and our period of stay in US will be 07 days.

Whilst we bear all the expenses in this regard, we have made arrangements to stay with our son above named, at his Out of Campus Apt. of which he will take over from July 2016.

Following documents forwarded herewith for your kind perusal.

1. document 01
2. document 02

We would be very much thankful to you if you could please consider our applications favourably to grant Visa for longer duration with Multiple Entries and short stay, since we intend participating in our son's Graduation Ceremony after two years.

Thank you.
