Viewed?

At the end of a German school leaving certificate. Legal guardian/parent writes that he/she has viewed the document. Should I use "viewed" or is there a better word for it?

I think 'viewed' is fine. Or maybe you could use 'seen', 'examined', or 'gone through'.
