Hello everyone. I have a question.
Regarding the following two sentences:
(A) From the window of the hotel, there was a beautiful view of the lake.
(B) From the window of the hotel, there was a beautiful scenery of the lake.
How does each of them sound to your ear? One of my grammar books says that (A) is correct but (B) is not because "scenery" is an uncountable noun. What do you think? Is (B) absolutely wrong?
Your grammar book is right—B is absolutely wrong.
