Video footage and video clip

Is there any difference between a video footage and a video clip?

Thanks

Not as far as I'm concerned. There may be a technical difference but I doubt the general native speaker would know it. In the days before digital recording tape was used.

  • Vidoe footage was the recorded tape, tape clippings were the bits of tape that they cut out.
  • I don't know if that is where words came from.
