video feed

Hi,

What does "video feed" mean (in everyday English)?

Imagine a huge TV (or whatever) screen divided into two or more rectangular areas (lets call them "subscreens" here). Different subscreens are programmed to display different TV channels. Each subscreen is used to display its own VIDEO FEED.

How far is the above interpretation from real life? :-)

Thank you!
