Via or through or any words better?

I'm reviewing an official document..

and I saw one sentence,

'Clarifications made via correspondence shall be replied within 7 calendar days..

I think the via is not correct word.

Pls recommend any good word in such sentence.

Correspondence is really the problem word. It's to vague. Does it mean submitted in writing?

I would suggest "submitted in..." but then the more precise word.

Also, replied to.

Hi,
'Via' is OK.
It's the whole idea of 'replying to clarifications' that seems to me like a slightly odd thing to say.
Why, for example, would you want to reply to a clarification?

I agree with you..

Actually, the whole sentence seems not natural to me..

That's why I'm reviewing the document, especially the word & sentence..

Anyway thank you so much..
