Via/ not via

Could you correct the following sentence?

"Determine surface pressure separately for sections where thrust force is input via press-fit parts and those not via press-fit parts."

I'm not sure if it sounds right, especially the "via/ not via" parts.

I don't have a problem with "via / not via," but I don't understand the situation you're trying to describe. Could you define "surface pressure" as you're using it? By "determine it," do you mean "predetermine it," or "measure it"?
