Hi everyone;

In a movie a character says "very you". Situation is like that, a girl's mother sent her a hat, unfashionable hat and her friend to make fun of her after putting the hat said: very you. What does it mean exactly.

This means: "(That unfashionable hat is) very (well-suited to a person like) you." This could be taken two ways. If the girl is, in fact, very fashionable, then this is just plain silly , since the hat obviously does not suit her. If the girl is not fashionable, then this is a rather cruel and cutting observation.
