Would anyone tell me which one is correct?why?

"How are you? I'm very well / very good."

Thank you in advance,

Both are correct, Iman. Some might say that "I am very well" is more formal, but I have heard and used both often.

Hi
Both are correct, though the second one is being used only lately.

But I will answer like : I'm fine; I'm doing good......

Hi.
I think I would just chime in on the discussion.
Shouldn't it be I am doing well instead of I am doing good?

Thanks

Hi Hrsanei,
Yesterday I got my fingers pinched when I made a mistake with "bad" and "badly."
So, here's a link to the "rule:"

Personally, as I said above, I have heard and said both. Obviously, only one is correct. But, I don't split hairs and I'm all for change in a living language.
