very strong temptation

How about using 'die-hard temptation' to mean 'very strong temptation' or 'a temptation that is hard to give up'?

If it's not appropriate, what would be good for expressing it?

Ahn How about using 'die-hard temptation' to mean 'very strong temptation' or 'a temptation that is hard to give up'? If it's not appropriate, what would be good for expressing it? A die-hard attempt is logical, but I think the temptation might be 'irresistible, compelling or commanding".
