Very Short Summary -- Please Post Comments

Can you please comment on my summary on the Introduction of What Makes the Great Great? My main concern is comprehension. Are there vague sentences? Also, can you please post how you understand my summary so I would know if people will get the message I intend to deliver across. Thanks so much.

In What Makes the Great Great, Dennis Kimbro believes that every individual is conceived into the world with a chest filled with potentials that can, one day, if supplied with the proper key -- positive mindset and steadfast determination -- may lead to the individual's greatest achievement. The author introduces Bill Pinkney, whose perseverance defeated all odds, then finally culminated into a moment of extreme, profound happiness. With the world that seldom revered his potentials and once again tried to pull him to the ground, Pinkney fixated his attention to fulfilling his dream, which at the end, made him a landmark in a world crowded with towering adversities. the author points out that Pinkney's greatest achievement was not due to luck or unforeseen circumstances, but it was because Pinkney believed that he could, and he tried with confidence. In addition, Kimbro presents a long list of great people who discovered their potentials and utilized these potentials to become the person that they always wanted to be. Few of these people are Percy Sutton, Robert Johnson, and Henry Parks. These are different individuals who walked different paths but with all one thing to say: greatness is an offspring of a positive and determined mind. Dennis Kimbro asserts that great achievements are in the mind of its master, but he also states that greatness is not just an intangible ideology to simply inspire individuals: He insinuates that greatness is within the reach of very individual as long as that individual is willing to commit himself/herself.

BTW, please be as critical as possible. I don't care whether I've been learning focused in learning English for about 3 years, which I really think is a long time already, and my improvement has only been minimal. BTW, this is admirable effort; helping other people without asking for a payment in return.

BTW, assuming that how you understand it is the way it really is in the book, how would you rate it?

Your use of English showed a fair amount of confidence and willingness to experiment. You don't seem to be afraid to use complex sentences and slightly more abstract thinking on 'paper'.

Personally, I believe this the best learning pattern a student can demonstrate (in any subject!) Well done, keep it up, all you need now is to read - read - read, read anything... just read!
