Very hard

The question is if there is a room and you are outside. the room has 5 lights only one of them works and the switches are outside the room you are only allowed to enter and ask the person in the room one question and they can't tell you the answer of the question but you are not allowed to ask him for the answer. By the answer he gives you you need to investigate which one works only one of them work .
