Very few people

Hi everyone!

What is a proper colloquial English expression that would render the idea of "very few people, almost no one, and even those who have come are probably too old or weak to help"? Could be used jokingly. In Russia we have this expression "one and half shovelman" as in "- Well, how many people came to the meeting? - One and half shovelman..." Is there one in English?

Thanks

Hi Good question. In the UK it might be: - Many people at your concert last night? - A man and his dog.
