Very basic question and answer I missed

I think it should be basic thing that I missed in the past.


We don't have any money. Do we?

If I answer Yes, or No. What will that mean? We don't have any money or we have some money? I am confused.


We do have some money. Don't we?

Same question for this question.

The tag "do we" just asks, "Is that right?"

If you don't have money, you can answer no. If you do, a simple yes doesn't cut it. You have to be explicit, maybe "Actually, we do."
