Probably not, although it's possible. It's just that the best syrups come from Vermont and this partiular brand is the best of those.

Vermont is one of the states in New England where maple trees are plentiful. Vermont and New Hampshire, and to a lesser extent, Maine, all have nice maple syrup. In fact, the sap is probably starting to run now. Visiting a maple syrup/sugar operation is a very nice event for the nose. (Yes, Clive, Canada has very good maple syrup too!
